BreathingRx Bodywork for Management of Scoliosis

Steven Flam developed and has practiced 'BreathingRx Bodywork' for over 33 years. He started by learning Breathing Coordination and the science of maximum diaphragm target training from Carl Stough and went on to study many healing bodywork modalities. Through Steven's command of Breathing Coordination and other bodywork modalities he has developed a style of bodywork that effectively eradicates, reduces or at the very least minimizes its effects making real improvements in management and comfort for scoliotics.By appointment only.
Sessions are 90 minutes in duration.

Private sessions are tailored to the needs and goals of the individual and may include:

   1.  A unique and gentle bodywork format for developing body awareness, training the diaphragm to release more air so
more spinal tension can be released.

   2. The application and client practice of Mensendiek body alignment exercises input the right postural signals to the
spinal muscles as the tensions are being released.

Benefits include:
  • More comfort and better spinal alignment
  • Easier breathing
  • More energy and mental clarity
  • Exercise and movement is easier and less stressful
  • Headaches due to shoulder and neck stiffness are reduced or eradicated
  • Back pain is reduced or eradicated

COURSE OF SESSIONS

Number of sessions depends on several factors:
1. Age of client
2. Willingness to consistently practice exercises in the home
3. Severity and type of misalignment
